Sometimes Courage is About Trusting
It takes courage to trust a therapist when those people most important to you have not been trustworthy. It is a gradual process and therapists know it is difficult.
Jeddiah Purdy spoke about the courage to participate in the common good, to believe in the goodness of others and their good intent. He felt it went against our cynical culture to believe that the people who are trying are trying honestly. So putting yourself in a situation that requires having courage to trust is not comfortable at first.

Forsyth County's-Mental Health Department clinic which was formerly called Georgia Mountains Gateway is now called Avita Community Partners and is located at 125 North Corners Parkway, Cumming, Ga, 30040 678-341-3840. It is Forsyth's community mental health clinic but also provides more extensive services than the usual mental health clinic. Their afterhour's emergency number is 800-347-5827. There also is a Georgia wide emergency help number with someone available 24 hrs a day. It is 800-715-4225.
